Root server failure

Today (18.02.2016) at around 17:00 CET one of our root servers crashed without any warning.

We are still investigating on the exact cause of this event but first analysis show that one of the drives in the RAID setup has failed. This somehow lead to a complete crash / freeze of the server.

Our skilled team managed to solve the issues within minutes of the incident and all services were fully up and running again within about 10 minutes.

The crash affected some of our Minecraft severs (Minecraft Diaries, Mineout, Darkend,…) as well as our Teamspeak server and main website.

All data was recovered so there was no loss.

We apologize for the downtime and do our best to prevent such issues as good as possible, even though the issue rendered most likely from a hardware failure within the server itself.
